Siepe is seeking a SQL Developer II who thrives on working with data and complex systems, and who has a passion for building efficient, optimized database solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SQL, ETL tools, and scripting languages like PowerShell, along with a commitment to quality and attention to detail. As a core contributor to Siepe's technical operations, the Database Engineer will be integral to ensuring the accuracy and performance of data processes, making them a key player in supporting Siepe's continued success in delivering high-quality solutions for clients.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with developers, business analysts, and external teams to review business requirements and transform them into database objects.
- Design, develop, document, test and optimize SQL database objects following Siepe coding standards.
- Develop new and enhance existing data extracts from Solvas Portfolio.
- Develop new and enhance existing SSIS packages to load and normalize data from external sources.
- Use Microsoft PowerShell to create scripts to orchestrate data load jobs : move, copy, and archive files; manipulating data files; convert from one format to another; initiating SSIS packages.
- Create, maintain, and publish data models, data dictionaries and ER diagrams.
- Contribute to and maintain Siepe's Knowledge Base and SQL coding standards.
- Schedule, monitor and troubleshoot daily jobs and reports using Siepe's job administration tools.
- Work can average 45-50 hours per week.
