What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd shift- Bullet Line Toolsetter position at Sierra Bullets?
Description
Job Summary: Set up, operate efficiently, and maintain Sierra Bullets bullet presses and run two at a time. Checking and verfying quality of parts, accuracy and repairing presses as needed. Mechanical ablity is a must, 90 day training with metrics tied to progression.
Essential Functions of the Job (listed in order of importance):
Work safety at all times.
Strictly adhere to all Company SOPs and policies.
Operate assigned production line, on a daily basis, to established standards of quality, and productivity.
Resolve production problems in a timely manner in assigned production lines while improving quality and productivity.
Provide clear and consistent communication with Master BulletSmiths®, Production Leadpersons, and Production Managers regarding all activity and issues relating to the assigned Production Line.
Accurately report all production related information on a timely basis using computer or manual form.
Marginal Job Functions: (if applicable)
Work closely with individuals at all levels of the company to continuously improve Quality Cost, and Delivery.
May be asked to train new bullet LTS.
Requirements
Skills Required to Perform the Duties of the Job:
Ability to work with and communicate well with others.
Ability to use metrology equipment such as scales, calipers, and micrometers.
Working knowledge of decimals, fractions, and basic mathematics.
Mechanical ability to troubleshoot tooling and machinery.
Ability to perform tool and machine part adjustments.
Ability to perform close tolerance and detailed mechanical work.
Educational Requirements Needed to Perform the Duties of the Job:
High school diploma or GED.
Successfully pass aptitude test
Complete 3 Prove it tests. (Basic Industrial Skills, Assembly and Matching, and Matching Industrial Images)
Physical Requirements to Perform the Duties of the Job:
Able to lift 30lbs.
Able to stand, twist, stoop, kneel, and bend for long periods of time.
Experience Required to Perform the Duties of the Job:
Mechanical background.
Manufacturing of some sort.
Licensing or Other Special Certifications Required:
Not required.
