Here is how you would contribute to Sierra s team:
Laborers perform various physical tasks on commercial construction jobsites in support of the overall project. This includes but is not limited to assisting Carpenters during the phases of structural concrete formwork, general clean up and jobsite organization. Any number or types of tasks may also be assigned.
Specific Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
- Have basic working knowledge of power tools and equipment
- Have working knowledge of various construction materials
- Ability to operate or be trained to operate a scissor lift, self-propelled aerial platform lift, and a reach forklift
- Experience working in construction is preferred. Applicants who have never worked in construction should explain why they are interested and/or qualified
General and Employment Requirements:
- Pass a pre-employment drug test
- Have reliable transportation
- Ability to work Monday through Friday day shift
- Ability to work overtime as required including extended work days and weekends as necessary
Work Conditions:
- Ability and willingness to work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements
- Ability to walk over rough, uneven or slippery surfaces
- Ability to climb stairs or ladders
- Ability to work in a variety of physical positions which include, but are not limited to, sitting, standing, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and walking
- Ability to lift, carry or otherwise move or position objects weighing up to 50 pounds
