Job Title: Data Analyst
Job Type: [Full-time]

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection & Cleaning:
  • Gather and organize large datasets from various sources such as databases, spreadsheets, APIs, or other data storage systems.
  • Clean, transform, and validate data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify and correct data inconsistencies or errors.
  • Data Analysis:
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations using statistical techniques and tools.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to understand the characteristics of the dataset.
  • Generate actionable insights from data to support business decisions and objectives.
  • Reporting & Visualization:
  • Create visualizations such as charts, graphs, and dashboards to present findings in a clear, actionable manner (using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel).
  • Develop regular and ad-hoc reports that summarize key metrics and insights for stakeholders.
  • Present findings to management, executives, and other team members in a clear, concise manner.
  • Data Modeling & Forecasting (optional depending on the role):
  • Build simple models for data predictions and forecasting.
  • Use techniques such as regression analysis, time-series analysis, or other modeling methods to predict future trends or behavior.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with business leaders, managers, and other departments to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and IT teams to improve data processes and enhance data accessibility.
  • Database Management:
  • Ensure data is properly stored, organized, and easy to retrieve.
  • Write SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from relational databases.
  • Manage and optimize data collection tools and databases.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Continuously improve data processes and workflows to ensure that data handling is efficient and effective.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and techniques in data analysis.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying databases.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, R*, Python*, or other statistical software.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.
  • Experience with data cleaning and wrangling techniques.
  • Knowledge of statistics and ability to apply statistical methods to data analysis.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to spot trends and anomalies in large datasets.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications (optional):

  • Experience with machine learning or basic predictive modeling techniques.
  • Knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python (pandas, NumPy, matplotlib) or R.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Prior experience in specific industries such as finance, healthcare, marketing, or retail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $79,505.00 - $120,944.00 per year
