Job Objective:

Sales Associates are the provider of excellent customer service by interacting with all customers in a warm and friendly manner. They are responsible for all sales activities, inventory control, stocking shelves, and various housekeeping duties to maintain the overall appearance of the store.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and process payments and issue receipts for products sold- whether by cash, check, vouchers, credit cards, or debit cards.
• Maintain food service preparation/presentation/appearance/operations and sanitary conditions at all times.
• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of store front and cleanliness of store facilities; stock shelves and coolers, sweep and mop floors, dust shelves, move trash containers and place in an outside bin, clean the parking lot and grounds (including gas pumps) surrounding the location in accordance with company standards.
• Consistently demonstrates customer service policies, allowing customers to feel comfortable within our stores’ atmosphere, may be required to help customers at the gas pump.
• Complies with company policies, store policies, and store procedures.
• Assists in maintain proper inventory levels and shift audits.
• Perform all duties with minimal supervision, and may be required to work irregular hours, attend job related meetings, and other duties as assigned.
• Adopt, comply with, and participate in all safety programs, workers compensation guidelines and employee injury reporting practices.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to see with 20/40 vision. Corrective lenses acceptable.
• Ability to hear in both ears to localize source of quiet sound, as well as normal conversation.
• Frequent walking, standing, climbing and some sitting are required to perform all essential duties and functions of the job. Must be able to operate keyboard, mouse, office calculator and cash register so wrist movement, pinching and finger dexterity is required.
• Ability to squat, kneel, crouch, lift and carry equipment weighing up to 55 pounds (one or two handed). Some lying down, crawling, twisting, reaching overhead and running may be required. May also be required to push and pull equipment.
• Ability to climb a ladder to store or retrieve materials and merchandise, place or remove signage.
