Job Summary:
Our client, a leading construction company specializing in underground utilities and wastewater/sewer projects, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team in Reno, NV. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil or mechanical engineering and proven expertise in managing underground utilities construction or wastewater/sewer infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all underground utilities and wastewater/sewer construction project phases from initiation to completion.
- Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain timelines and budgets.
- Ensure adherence to all safety and environmental regulations in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Prepare and present project reports, cost estimates, and status updates to stakeholders.
- Manage procurement of materials, subcontractor agreements, and site logistics.
- Lead and mentor project teams, ensuring high performance and collaboration.
- Troubleshoot construction and engineering challenges, ensuring quality and efficiency in project execution.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing underground utilities or wastewater/sewer construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, regulations, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, or MS Project.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and timelines effectively.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental and permitting regulations.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Salary : $120,000 - $160,000
