Location: 15301 Tyler Foote Road, Nevada City, CA (Location may vary)
Pay: $118,000 Base Annual Salary; Range varies depending upon experience & based on 40-hour work week

Sierra Family Health Center (SFHC) is seeking a compassionate Chiropractor who is dedicated to providing excellent care to patients with a focus on health maintenance, disease prevention, and patient education.

About Us
SFHC is a rural community health center and leader in integrated health, which has been providing full-service medical care to area residents for 40 years. As a Federally Qualified Rural Health Clinic (FQHC), we provide compassionate and quality medical, dental, chiropractic, and behavioral health care to meet the needs of our culturally diverse community, including the indigent and medically underserved populations of Nevada, Sierra and Yuba counties.

Essential Job Functions

  • Conduct patient consultations by reviewing health and medical histories; questioning, observing and examining patients; and reviewing x-rays, as indicated.
  • Evaluate patients’ neuromusculoskeletal systems and the spine using chiropractic diagnosis to determine neuromusculoskeletal and spine related conditions.
  • Perform manual adjustments to the spine, or other articulations of the body, to correct the musculoskeletal system.
  • Use heat, cold, massage therapy and other methods to treat patients
  • Obtain and record patients’ medical histories.
  • Analyze x-rays to locate the sources of patients’ difficulties and rule out fractures or diseases as sources of problems.
  • Maintain accurate case histories of patients.
  • Educate patients on the quality-of-life benefits of routine chiropractic care.
  • Provide a patient with educational resources and a recommended course of treatment.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Doctorate of Chiropractic
  • Graduate of an accredited chiropractic program
  • Current license as a chiropractor in the state of practice
  • Three or more years of clinical chiropractic work experience
  • Familiarity with Medi-Cal and Medicare coding & documentation requirements
  • FQHC Experience preferred
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $118,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
