As a Warehouse Team Lead for Sierra Forest Products, you will have the opportunity to expand your skillset and enhance our warehouse operations.

What you will do:
- Coordinate the reception, handling, distribution, and storage of designated freight, product, and supplies that come in and out of warehouse.
- Oversee cargo handling and secure loads in accordance with established safety requirements.
- Inspect and verify shipped goods for both incoming and outgoing items prior to signing off.
- Manually load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, and lifting devices.
- Prepare appropriate paperwork for shipping, including bills of lading and invoices.
- Answering incoming calls and resolving customer issues.
- Provide directions to a team of warehouse employees.
- Coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and delegating work accordingly.
- Maintain shift schedules to ensure sufficient employee coverage.
- Analyze departmental operations and identify areas requiring improvement.
- Plan warehouse layout and space requirements to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization.
- Ensure that all warehouse employees comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Ensure that safe work practices are being followed.
- Ensure that all staff under your direction are equipped with and are using the proper personal protective equipment.
What you bring to the table:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Three years of related warehousing experience.
- Experience with coaching and employee development.
- Ability to direct and motivate a team to achieve and exceed their goals.
- Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Ability to identify issues and implement creative solutions to overcome problems.
- Experience monitoring and controlling inventory.
- Must be able to lift 75lbs or more repeatedly.
