Key Responsibilities:
- Process initial credentialing and re-credentialing applications for healthcare providers.
- Verify and update provider credentials, including licenses, certifications, and education.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation guidelines.
- Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and regulatory agencies to complete credentialing tasks.
- Monitor credentialing deadlines and take proactive measures to prevent lapses in provider status.
- Assist with audits and compliance reviews as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in credentialing requirements and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in credentialing, medical staff services, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of credentialing requirements, including NCQA, CMS, and Joint Commission standards.
- Proficiency in credentialing software and database management.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines.
