Change Manager – Hybrid – Chicago, IL (Near O’Hare) – Contract to Hire
A good change agent understands that the “why” is just as important as the “what”, so let’s begin…
Why? The organization has over 40 significant inhouse technical projects in the pipeline and sophisticated PM’s that understand the importance of OCM, but don’t have the time (or OCM specific expertise) to apply to their craft. The PMO Director and a strategic OCM Consultant have spent the last year building and piloting the OCM toolkit – it works and stakeholders have the light, so now it’s time to hire their first-ever Change Manager to work both tactically and strategically with the PM’s to ensure that projects are delivered in world-class fashion.
What? Large financial and insurance services company, long-term contract to hire, hybrid work schedule with 2 days per week onsite at their office near O’Hare airport. Established PMO, experienced project teams, stakeholders that crave OCM, and career path in abundance (hint: liked the idea of building business housed Change Management Office).
The right person will have ~4 years of experience doing OCM work, either in an OCM specific role or a PM role with integrated OCM. Ideally, will come from a tech project environment where you have interacted with techies. Any OCM certifications (ADKAR, Prosci, APMG, CCMP) are a plus. Compensation depends on the individual, but is likely to be in the 60-70hr (W2) range during the contract phase, and 120-150k at permanent conversion. Please note that you must be willing to take and pass a criminal background check as well as have received the COVID vaccine and one booster.
