What are the responsibilities and job description for the Disaster Restoration - Mitigation Technician position at Sierra James Construction?
Sierra James is seeking Mitigation Technicians to join our team and play a pivotal role in leading our field operations. As a Mitigation Technician, you will work with a team through water, mold, and fire restoration using industry standardized techniques and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Conduct water, mold, and fire damage remediation procedures in compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
- Implement drying techniques to efficiently and effectively mitigate water damage
- Perform thorough service checks to assess the extent of damage throughout each job and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Utilize moisture meters to measure and monitor moisture levels throughout the restoration process.
- Complete detailed and accurate documentation for each project, including proper paperwork and photos.
- Interact with customers professionally and provide communication throughout the project.
- Ensure a safe working environment is always maintained by following all OSHA, IICRC, and company-specific protocols, guidelines, and best practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule, which includes answering phone calls and responding to emergencies after regular business hours
- Ability to work in a physically intensive role that occasionally includes working in confined spaces, in the elements, and wearing PPE
