Overview

Responsibilities
Is a key personnel and report to the E&S DM. GLs are at the organization major discipline level within their respective groups and provide core technical expertise. GLs are responsible for personnel/resources including performance evaluations, counseling, and training. They support the PjMs in developing WPs. They identify new tools that are needed for personnel, training, and engineering assessments. They develop approaches, review engineering methods, and sign work products in their discipline to make sure they are of high quality and technically rigorous.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent with 7 years relevant experience; Knowledge of relevant software tools; Excellent design and analytical abilities; Excellent written and oral communication skills with emphasis on maintaining positive business relationships within all levels of the organization
- Must be able to analyze and understand previously developed LabView applications and provide solutions for connecting these applications to other external software systems using standard packet protocols such as CCSDS.
- Must be able to analyze and understand existing software applications written in Tcl and/or C/C then develop updates to interface these applications to the LabView applications using standard packet protocols.
- Experience with standard best practice software development lifecycle
- Experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle – gathering requirements, design, implementation, testing, debugging, and deployment to the end user.
- Ability to assess new APIs and tools for software development.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage large scale test projects and/or facility improvement projects
- Direct knowledge of both internal and external customer cost estimates, tracking labor, facility usage, calibration cost, and run hour information on a monthly basis to ensure cost estimates are up to date.
- The establishment and maintenance of effective working relationships with management, staff, subcontractors, and clients are necessary.
- Tasks will involve interfacing with customers, management, engineers, and technicians and therefore excellent oral and written communication skills are required, as well as the ability to function in a team environment.
- Task complexity and duration may vary, and therefore flexibility and adaptability is highly desirable. Excellent organizational and time management skills are highly desirable.
