Scope of Position
This is a professional individual with good all-around housekeeping experience. This person is able to perform daily tasks such as maintaining stairwells, fitness centers, guest laundry and public areas according to cleanliness standards.
Position Requirements
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas.
- Utilize housekeeping issued chemicals in properly labeled bottles only.
- Never allow access to suites for an employee or guest.
- Neatly maintain resort literature, housekeeping literature, and area attraction information.
- Stock amenities storage areas as required.
- Clean appliances.
- Dust furniture, fixtures, pictures, vents, etc.
- Knock/ring doorbell and announce Housekeeping before entering suites.
- Keep doors always closed. Utilize Suite Cleaning card door hang when servicing a suite.
- Assist housekeeping as needed or scheduled.
- Assist with guest requests as needed.
- Keep corridors free of debris (including room service trays)
- Respond to pager/radio immediately.
- Complete guest request in timely manner and report completion to dispatcher
- Return equipment to assigned storage areas.
- Clean fitness center, administrative office, and associate break room
- Report to work as scheduled and in authorized uniform only (including name tag)
- Complete assigned task before departing for the day.
- Do Not leave assigned work area without authorization from manager/supervisor.
- Report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with projects as requested or scheduled.
- Always maintain positive teamwork.
- Maintains and adheres to company values.
Responsibilities
- Provide upkeep to the lobby areas to ensure they are clean and presentable.
- Inspect the condition of furniture for tears, rips, and stains and report damages.
- Ability to assist guests with inquiries and requests while in the lobby.
- Ability to keep the back area of Front Desk neat and clean.
- Ability to complete special projects, as assigned, including regular deep cleaning.
- Ensure that the hotel, guests, and associates are maintained in a clean, safe and secure environment.
Education
- High school diploma preferred, but not required.
- Prefer housekeeping experience (residential or commercial).
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate in the English language (Second language is a plus).
- Able to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends.
- Able to perform multiple tasks.
- Good interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements
- Physical agility and ability to move quickly in confined spaces.
- Also requires standing/walking/reaching and bending throughout shift.
- Ability to push / pull 100lbs.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Think clearly in high stress and intense situations.
- Ability to multitask and give direction under pressure.
- Stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Work in areas of high heat and humidity.
