We are currently accepting applications for an energetic, experienced Night Auditor to join the team here at Embassy Suites Orlando Lake Buena Vista South. Our award-winning property is 300 suites with 40,000 sq. ft. of meeting, pre-function, and event space. We have a well-tenured management team, which runs this very busy hotel and convention center in an exceptional manner with high standards, expectations, and strong results orientation.
Scope of Position
To ensure a timely and accurate completion of the End of Day process.
Position Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in front desk preferred.
- Previous Night Audit experience in a hotel required.
- Possess outstanding guest services skills and leadership capability.
- Detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills.
- Able to handle a multitude of tasks in an ever-changing environment.
- Effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and responding to the concerns raised by guests and members.
Primary Responsibilities
- To ensure a smooth effective 3rd shift operation.
- To accurately complete daily statistical reports flash reports and other statistical reports required by management.
- To ensure 100% accuracy on all audit reports.
- To ensure front desk agents compliance with auditing and accounting procedures.
- To audit and close down Oracle.
- To audit daily front desk work.
- To bring down the computer interface.
- To ensure accurate and timely completion of auditing procedures.
- To ensure system is in balance through Preliminary audit functions.
- To ensure timely completion of the End of Day report.
- To report items necessitating attention.
- To summarize and report restaurants and bars activity for previous day.
- To ensure night auditing procedures are completed accurately and on a timely manner.
- To maintain adequate back-up to ensure continuous accuracy in monthly reporting.
- To command working knowledge of the logistics system.
- To command working knowledge of accounting procedures.
- To command working knowledge of Front Desk and PBX operation.
- To command working knowledge of Computer Interface.
- To command working knowledge of Excel and Word.
Education
- High school diploma.
- College degree in Administration or Hospitality preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Able to communicate in the English language. Second language is a plus.
- Able to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends and able to perform multiple tasks.
- Experience using software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Proficient in OnQ (or similar program).
Physical Requirements
- On a continuous basis, stand at a desk for long periods of time in front of a computer screen. Also requires walking/reaching and bending throughout shift.
- Must be physically fit to lift, pull, and push items up to 50 pounds.
