Ascend Behavioral Health is hiring a Behavioral Healthcare Technician to join our team at our 24-hour residential treatment center setting and support the continued growth of our organization in Bakersfield, CA. As a Behavioral Healthcare Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting with the care and treatment of individuals facing mental health challenges in a residential environment. We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated individual who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is committed to working with a diverse population experiencing moderate to severe mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage care for up to six patients with a focus on safety and respect.
- Assist patients with daily activities, including personal care and hygiene.
- Support nutritional needs by assisting with meal planning, grocery shopping, and, if needed, meal preparation.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized environment to promote health and safety.
- Track and communicate patient progress and needs with the care team.
- Positively engage and influence patient behavior while fostering a supportive environment.
- Follow proper protocols to address patient needs effectively.

Requirements:What We’re Looking For
- 1 years of experience in a mental health setting (preferred)
- Current CPR certification
- Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
- Calm, compassionate, and effective under pressure
- Initiative and sound judgment in a variety of situations
- Proficiency with electronic medical records, Microsoft Office, and email
- Health clearance, TB screening, valid driver’s license, and criminal record clearance required
