As an Admissions Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in our organization’s growth and patient care. You will be the first point of contact for prospective clients, providing compassionate guidance and ensuring seamless access to our comprehensive mental health services. This role requires a balance of empathy, efficiency, and attention to detail. You will be responsible for managing the entire client admission process, including:
- Building rapport with clients and families.
- Verifying insurance benefits.
- Promoting our full range of behavioral health programs.
- Identifying and addressing any barriers to admission.
- Scheduling clients for intake assessments.
Additionally, you will maintain accurate records in our admissions database, allocate incoming calls and leads, conduct pre-admission screenings, and coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition into care
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer inbound calls, chats, and form submissions from potential clients, their loved ones, and referring professionals.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all services we offer and pitch our organizations treatment services strategically to prospective clients, their families, and our community partners.
- Utilize CRM, Call Tracking Metrics, and other internal systems to track inquiries, manage client data, and streamline the admissions process.
- Oversee the admissions process from initial inquiry to admission, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience for clients.
- Explain insurance benefits and communicate payment options and potential financial assistance to clients and their family’s seeking treatment
- Assess treatment eligibility based on admission criteria, insurance policies, and collaboration with clinical staff.
- Complete thorough pre-assessments with potential clients.
- Collaborate with multiple departments, including management, to remove barriers to admission and ensure timely access to care Act as a liaison for referral sources, obtaining client documentation and collateral information and providing updates on admission and discharge information.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Bilingual preferred
- Sales experience
- Treatment Center Admissions Experience
- Customer service experience required
- Must be capable of maintaining regular and punctual attendance
- Must possess strong phone and computer skills
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient, employee and company proprietary information
- Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with patients, families, and other employees at all levels
