Key Responsibilities:
- As a Mental Health Therapist at Touchstone Recovery Center, you will:
- Conduct bio-psychosocial intake assessments to determine appropriate level of care and DSM-V diagnoses.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 9–13 clients, using evidence-based interventions on a short- to mid-term care timeline.
- Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment and discharge plans.
- Facilitate therapeutic group sessions (3 hours) for IOP and PHP levels of care, typically working with groups of 8–12 participants.
- Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team including case managers, medical staff, and family members.
- Support clients' families through education, goal-setting discussions, and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes, treatment plan updates, group notes, and insurance reviews.
- Operate within both our residential and outpatient settings to provide continuity of care.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings, clinical consultations, and continuous program development efforts.
Requirements
- Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited program.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years working in the behavioral health field, preferably with clients managing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
- Licensure: Must be a Registered Associate (AMFT, ASW, APCC) with the California BBS; active, valid driver's license required.
- Skills: Excellent clinical documentation skills, strong decision-making and conflict resolution abilities, and a collaborative communication style.
- Certifications: CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain) and ability to pass TB testing, medical clearance, and pre-employment drug screening.
