Sierra Meadows Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Transportation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation for our patients to and from appointments, therapy sessions, and other behavioral health-related services. Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Transportation: Safely transport patients to and from appointments, therapy sessions, and other necessary behavioral health-related services while ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Schedule Coordination: Work closely with the scheduling team to ensure timely and efficient transportation services, adjusting to last-minute changes or cancellations as needed.
- Patient Support: Provide empathetic support to patients during transport, ensuring they feel safe and heard. Maintain a therapeutic and respectful environment while interacting with patients.
- Vehicle Maintenance and Safety: Ensure that vehicles used for patient transport are properly maintained, cleaned, and stocked with necessary items. Conduct routine checks for safety compliance and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of transportation services, including patient pick-up and drop-off times, mileage, and any incidents or concerns during transportation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless care coordination and address any transportation-related concerns or adjustments.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college coursework or specialized training in mental health or transportation is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a transportation or customer service role, preferably within a healthcare or behavioral health setting. RAD-T certification a plus
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with patients respectfully and empathetically.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A clean driving record and valid California driver's license.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy standards (HIPAA compliance).
- Other Requirements:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on patient needs.
- Experience working with individuals who have mental health or behavioral health concerns is a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Lifting 10-60 lbs, sitting, standing, and bending.
