Job Purpose: Transport clients to appointments, shopping trips, errands and outings. Schedule appointments as needed
Major Duties and Responsibilities: Drive clients to and from appointments, assist them with picking up medications, run errands for clients and or treatment center. Perform minor repairs for the property or the outpatient properties. Maintain the vans in good operating condition and repair. Keep the van clean, neat and organized. Other duties as assigned.
Minor Duties and Responsibilities: Create a positive and supporting environment to promote healing.
Requirements
All direct care staff shall have graduated from high school or possess a GED and have a minimum of one (1) year of full-time experience, or its part-time equivalent, working in a program serving persons with mental disabilities. Such experience must be in the direct provision of services to clients. If the employee does not have the required experience, the program shall document a specific plan of supervision and in-service training for the employee which will guarantee the ongoing qualification of the employee to perform the job. The plan should include but not be limited to the frequency and number of hours of training, the subjects to be covered, and a description of the supervision to be provided.
Must Have:
- Clean driving record
- RAD-T certification a plus
- Valid CA Driver’s License
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be willing to work nights/weekends (in-state travel only)
- Physical Requirements: Lifting 10-60 lbs, sitting, standing, and bending.
Salary : $16 - $18
