Working as part of the patient care team within the staff model clinic and urgent care setting, the X-Ray Technician/Certified Medical Assistant is primarily responsible for performing diagnostic x-rays and assisting with the provision of patient medical care as a Certified Medical Assistant. Job duties include registration of all presenting patients, screening patients, handling initial and follow-up phone calls, taking messages, assisting walk-in patients with various needs, collecting copays and posting payments, printing provider schedules, and most importantly maintaining communication with patients, providers, nursing staff and other ancillary department staff.
General Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
- Protect patients, yourself and staff from radiation exposure by practicing sound procedures
- Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by physicians.
- Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Report immediately any equipment malfunctions to Supervisor.
- Log completed radiological procedures and enter procedures into the Electronic Medical Records system.
- Maintain examination rooms. Stock necessary office and radiological supplies.
Requirements:
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Limited X-Ray Technician License with a fundamental understanding of digital x-ray services
- Availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Understanding of the concepts of universal precautions, HIPAA, and OSHA
- Compassionate communicator with excellent patient interaction skills
- COVID-19 vaccination
- Team-player able to multi-task in a fast-paced setting

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $23.00 and $25.00/hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
