Maintenance Technician

- Position reports to General Manager

The Maintenance Technician will undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of our gas stations, convenience stores and kiosks, and liquor store locations. You will perform maintenance tasks of different variety such as painting, landscaping, carpentry, etc. The ideal candidate will be able to work thoroughly and responsibly with a practical mind and acute attention to detail while observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.

Responsibilities

· Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.).

· Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and assist with repairs when necessary.

· Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.

· Replace air & water filters.

· Inspect & diagnose maintenance concerns as they arise.

· Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.).

· Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, pressure washing buildings, walkways, forecourts, & carwashes)

Requirements

· Previous experience as maintenance technician.

· Ability to follow written and oral direction.

· Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems.

· Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.

· Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.

· Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.

· Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills

Physical Requirements (including but not limited to):

· Actively working in all weather conditions

· Working both indoors & outdoors

· Carrying up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
