What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Yoga Instructor position at Sierra Pacific Orthopedics?
Sierra Pacific Orthopedics, the leading full-service orthopedic group in the San Joaquin Valley, is seeking a part-time Certified Yoga Instructor to lead Yoga sessions with our patients. We are looking for an independent contractor who would be paid through a 1099 agreement.
JOB SUMMARY: Instructs yoga sessions with SPOC patients.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Yoga Certification
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- 2 years experience as a Certified Yoga Instructor
- Strong communication skills with staff, physicians and patients
- Excellent Motivational skills
- Ability to create yoga sessions that are safe, effective and engaging
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Planning and creating yoga sessions with variety and purpose
- Instructing and guiding patients through progressive yoga sessions
- Correct form and technique so that patients have safe and effective sessions
- Lead by example by modeling proper form and technique
- Create documentation on patient performance/progression
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping and stretching. Some patient assistance will be required. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone and other office equipment is also required. Employee must have normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Medical office environment.
Compensation: 40/hr
