Position : Family Practice / Sports Medicine Office Lead / Manager
Job Summary : Effectively supervise and coordinate the day-to-day operations and workflow within assigned office.
Educational Requirements :
- High School degree; Associate's degree or bachelor’s degree preferred

Strong communication skills with staff, ancillary personnel, physicians, and patientsAt least two years of successful supervisory experience in a primary care medical settingAbility to schedule and run regular office staff meetingsAbility to recommend and implement new protocols and proceduresAbility to train and motivate employeesGood analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize workflow in a fast-paced environmentComfortable using face-to-face and electronic communication as well as interacting with Internet applicationsResponsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Participates in the interview process and provides input on hiring of staff for the podOversees training of pod staff, including new and existing employeesProvides direct supervision of all office personnelOrganizes and schedules team meetings; distributes meeting minutes to staffActs as a problem-solver and proactively addresses staff concerns and operational issues quickly and appropriatelyDirects staff to accomplish organizational goals and standards of service and careMonitors and directs revenue cycle reporting and follow-upWorks to proactively resolve any patient complaints and / or service issues with patients and other key stakeholders such as referring providers and insurance carriersRecommends operational improvements to the Director of OperationsMay be asked to develop and implement new policies and procedures at the direction of AdministrationReinforces practice policies, compliance plans, operational protocols, and employee handbookEnsures patient satisfaction targets are being reachedRecommends new forms and protocols as policy and procedures change after receiving approval; develops and implements themMonitors team workflow and suggests personnel needs to the Director of OperationsTracks vacations and sick days, ensuring all posts are filled during employee absencesMonitors time off requests and deviations from normal staff work scheduleAttends all Lead meetingsPerforms additional duties as requested by the Director of OperationsSupports provider(s) including MD and mid-levels as necessarySupervisory Responsibilities :
This job has supervisory responsibilities which include overseeing the performance and workload of others. Acts as a coach and mentor to the pod team. Communicates any potential need for disciplinary action to the Human Resources Manager and participates in disciplinary counseling sessions. Documents in detail actions of staff that may result in disciplinary action. Provides conflict resolution when needed. Identifies and responds to positive events appropriately.
Typical Physical Demands :
Position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment is also required. Employee must have normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.
Typical Working Conditions :
Normal office environment. Occasional evening or weekend work.
Compensation : $30 / hr-$48 / hr
