Grinder Operator

Reports To: Production Supervisor
Status: Full-Time/Hourly (40 hours/week; additional hours as needed to support organization and individual goals).

Job Requirements

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Motor coordination, manual and finger dexterity
• Basic Computer skills

• Bi-Lingual (English & Spanish)

Job Summary:
To grind non-conforming plastic parts separately, according to material type, lot number, and color. And identify grinders and gaylords according to the orders.

Essential Job Functions

• Grind and properly identify all non-conforming plastic parts and slugs, on all lines assigned, including R-&-D lines, according to material type, lot number, and color.
• Move proper skid to each line at the start of a job. Move finished skids off in to finished good area to be inspected by quality control personnel.
• Assemble appropriately sized cartons to be used on-line by packers, and break down old cardboard to be recycled.
• Relieve packers during breaks.
• Empty and clean all grinders and returnable containers.
• Filling out grinder tags.
• Follow lock/out Tagout procedures.
• General housekeeping.
• Scanning System
• Follow 5S procedures.

• 8 hour shift
