JOB TITLE:Transportation Aide, Classified EmployeeDEADLINE:until position is filledLOCATION: Sierra County Office of EducationSALARY: $16.77-$17.79 per hour beginning wage subject to experience and qualificationsASSIGNMENT:Begin Assignment immediatelyPart-time, Up to 3 hours daily/15 hours weekly; Split shift, Morning and after schoolDESCRIPTION:Transportation Aide safely operates a vehicle, other than those designed as a school bus, in the transport of students from Loyalton, CA, to Calpine, CA. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Possess a high school diploma or equivalent and minimum three years safe driving experience. Ability to Operate a vehicle safely in the transport of students; Assist student with seat belt and/or safety equipment; Assist student on and off the vehicle (some lifting may be required); Follow oral and written directions; Effectively communicate with students, staff and parents; Read and write at a level necessary to perform the requirements of the job; Maintain order among students being transported; Work confidentially and with discretion; demonstrate flexibility with schedules and work independently; Maintain accurate records and files. Working conditions are subject to diversified weather conditions and traffic congestion on highway/road. A Department of Justice and FBI background check, tuberculin test clearance and acceptable driving record are required prior to employment.
