Equipment Maintenance Technician

POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of routine and emergency maintenance to all Sierra Circuits, Inc. facilities and equipments as directed by the Maintenance & Faculties Manager.

Working hours: Mon-night to Sat Morning: Training hours: 1-2 weeks on Day Shift:  Must be FLEXIBLE

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 Conduct periodic inspections on assigned equipment's according to Preventive Maintenance Schedule (ISO Form 11-01-01-B).

 Perform preventative maintenance work on equipment's and machineries to prevent breakdowns, costly repairs, and the development of unsafe conditions.

 Promptly respond to and complete job requisitions according to request forms and submit to Maintenance & Facilities Manager.

 Use proper tools and techniques to perform the required tasks in a professional and safe manner.

 Research, order, and prepare spare parts needed with the most cost effective solution.

 Report any potential problems to the Maintenance & Facilities Manager.

 Perform daily housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

 Interact professionally and diplomatically with managers, co-workers, and vendors.

 Be available for emergency maintenance.

 May be required to operate a forklift.

 Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

 High school diploma, AA degree in related field preferred.

 2-5 years experience in the following trades: general building maintenance, electricity, carpentry and plumbing.

 Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.

 Previous hands on experience with electrical/mechanical tools and test instruments.

 Good written/verbal communication skills and ability to generate reports of diagnoses of machines and completed task.

 Must have a professional demeanor and good customer service skills with a sense of urgency.

 Ability to lift up to 25 pounds maximum and stand/walk throughout the day.

 Ability to operate a forklift if needed.

 Must be highly motivated and able to multi-task.

 Ability to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environment.

 Valid driver’s license required.

Graveyard Hours

California Salary Range: $25-$30/ Per Hour and Benefit Perks
