SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION:
The Screening Operator is responsible for processing printed circuit boards (PCB) panels thru Solder Mask prepping and processing, legend, other screening processes (shooting stencil, pushing squeegee, restringing chase, etc.) according to the travelers or as directed by Managers while following department standard operating procedures. This position is for swing shift 2PM to 10:30PM Tuesday through Saturday.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Screening Operator
- Check travelers for due date, material type, process instructions and work priority before starting the screening process.
- Promptly complete screening tasks and document in a timely manner.
- Set-up, operate, and tear down DP1500 automatic coating machine (Solder Mask) to process PCB panels amongst other tasks such as LDI expose, Sprint legend machine operation etc.
- Manually screen legend, Solder Mask, Peel-able Solder Mask and carbon ink on the Palomar screening table.
- Assist department in achieving zero scrap per month.
- Perform weekly preventative maintenance on machines and perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Inform Managers of any potential problems.
- Ability to stand/walk 8 hours per day.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Availability to work on the weekend, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS - KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS- EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma preferred.
- 3-5 years’ experience in screening for PCB Manufacturing Company is preferred.
- Previous experience with Screening Printing / Silk-screening a plus.
- Ability to read and understand technical work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to follow procedures/instructions and maintain quality of products at all time.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good computer skills and the ability to learn new skills and tasks as required.
- Must be detailed oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and stand/walk throughout the day.
- Ability to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to retain information from various process sub-stations for cross-training purposes.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must frequently stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The ability to lift 20 lbs., open filing cabinets, and bend, stand, or climb on step ladders as necessary.

California Salary Range $20-$25 per hour plus Benefits and Perks
