Job Summary
A new division, of an established aerospace company, is looking to add a motivated Saw Operator. The position will requires extensive time on the manufacturing floor while following safety procedures and operating procedures/instructions.
The position is classified as full-time, Non-Exempt. Typical days and hours of work are Monday to Thursday 5am to 3PM. On a workload basis this position may require additional scheduled days and hours.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Cuts material on saws, maintaining work order tolerances and specifications
DUTIES:
· Ability to use measurement tools
· Knowledge of saw concepts, practices, and procedures
· Ability to read and understand work orders, tolerances and specifications
· Ability to set up machines, blades, stops or feeding devices, and flow of coolant against cutting area
· Ability to properly load material on saws using forklifts or other moving equipment
· Knowledge of changing blades on saws as needed
· Cleans saws at the end of shift
· Adheres to personal and facility safety procedures and practices
· Other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be able to read and understand work orders and cutting instructions, both written and on computer program.
· Must have knowledge of saws, blades, guards, feeding devices and coolant flow.
· Must be able to communicate, verbally and written, with managers and coworkers.
· Must maintain quality practices and safety standards.
· Must be forklift and safety certified.
· Must be able to work overtime as required.
· Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs
