Sr. API Developer- HYBRID

Job Summary 
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure API functionality aligns with business goals and provide clear documentation for API Users. The ability to write clear, readable, and testable code that is concise and well-documented and conforms to industry standards and best practices.   

Primary Responsibilities 

• Ability to travel onsite 25%
• Architect, design, and develop robust, scalable, and secure APIs (RESTful, GraphQL, etc.).
• Ensure high-quality, reusable, and maintainable code for API services.
• Define clear API documentation and guidelines for internal and external consumption.
• Work closely with front-end developers, backend developers, product managers, and designers to define API requirements.
• Participate in project planning, sprint reviews, and standups to ensure timely delivery.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to API functionality, including bugs and performance bottlenecks.
• Monitor and respond to production incidents, providing quick resolution and root cause analysis.  
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to API development.
• Continuously refine and improve the API development process, including tooling and workflows.
• Ensure that APIs integrate smoothly with both client-side (frontend) and server-side (backend) applications.
• Optimize APIs for different consumption types, including mobile devices and web applications.

• Experience delivering successful Provider Data solution, in a technical senior role
• Ability to lead a cross-functional team of developers in design, documentation, and development activities
• Experience in leading / participating in a SCRUM development team, project team or other delivery/development team
• Experience delivering successful Blue Provider Data (BPD) solution, in a technical lead role
• Skilled with Database Management systems, including: Relational Databases - Microsoft Azure Suite; SQL Server/Azure SQL Database, SQL Managed Instance, Azure Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL
• NoSQL Databases - Conversant with modern, web friendly, fast, NoSQL databases
