Schedule: 30 hours/week, 3x10-hour shifts.
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
As one of the nation’s leaders in treating individuals with co-occurring mood, addiction eating disorders and trauma, Acadia Healthcare places a strong emphasis on our admissions and intake functions to allow us to help every possible person in need. To this end, Acadia Healthcare is currently interested in hearing from dynamic, results driven candidates who may be a fit for the Admissions Nurse position. The Admissions Nurse will be primarily responsible for reviewing the pre-admission documents of potential patients to determine eligibility for admission to one of our Acadia specialty facilities.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Determine appropriateness for admission to an Acadia facility by reviewing pre-admission screenings, medical and clinical records and all other patient information.
- Review prospective admissions against approved admission criteria, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct nurse-to-nurse reviews with outside hospitals/facilities to determine potential patient eligibility for an Acadia facility.
- Perform additional telephonic screenings of prospective patients to determine eligibility for admission when more information is needed.
- Collaborate with facility medical and psychiatric personnel onsite to maintain up-to-date medical and clinical admissions criteria for screening incoming patients.
- Support multiple facilities’ admissions functions within a given region to promptly assist clients and their family’s seeking treatment.
- Initiate contact to gather required clinical and demographic data from patient and other sources.

Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- Minimum of one year experience working with individuals in a clinical or observational capacity, preferably in the area of specialty for the facilities within a specific region.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
- First aid may be required based on state or facility.
