Sierra Veterinary Care, a family owned and operated veterinary clinic with strong ties to the local community, is seeking an experienced receptionist to provide SUPERIOR customer care to our clients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Representing the practice with professionalism, courtesy and a positive attitude
- Greeting clients, patients and other visitors
- Answering and handling a multi-line telephone system
- Promoting practice services and products
- Scheduling appointments and preparing patient records
- Ensuring all waiting areas are clean and organized at all times
- Assisting in other areas of the hospital, as needed

Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with veterinary office software (i.e. DVMaxx, Cornerstone, etc.)
- Understanding of small animal issues and common preventives and treatments
- Operation of computer system and software in Apple Mac environment, including word-processing software, as well as extensive data entry experience
- Use of veterinary medical terminology and veterinary retail products, such as prescription diets and parasite preventatives.
- Use of fax machine, copier, credit card processor, cash register, printers and general office equipment
- Minimum of a high school certificate required and/or GED (Associate Degree preferred)
