PATIENT POPULATION :
The patient population served can be all patients including geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric, and newborn. This also includes services which affect facility staff, physicians, visitors, vendors and the general public.
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Senior Marketing & Communications Design Specialist plays a vital role in developing creative and engaging health care content that spans print and digital channels to reach consumers and clinical audiences.
Responsible for working cooperatively with district public relations and marketing staff to produce communications materials that effectively represent Sierra View Medical Center.
This position will provide design services, maintaining graphic standards for the hospital and Sierra View Foundation. Responsible for the layout and design of all marketing materials both internally and externally for Sierra View Medical Center. In matters where the design is outsourced, this position would take lead on the project management and would be responsible for creative direction and that deadlines are met.
Must be able to work normal / scheduled working hours to include Holidays, call-backs, weeknights, weekends, and on-call. Agrees to participate, as directed, in emergencies and community disasters during scheduled and unscheduled hours. As a designated disaster service worker you are required to assist in times of need pursuant to the California Emergency Services Act.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE :
At least 5 years of proven visual arts design with marketing experience required.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions :
3 Manipulating photography, illustration, graphics, and typography to execute creative ideas and brand guidelines.
4 Work closely with print vendors and media partners to obtain estimates, conduct press checks, meet tight deadlines, and stay within budget.
5 Continue to learn new techniques in visual arts, production, copy writing, project management, and user experience.
6 Work cross-functionally with the digital marketing specialist to build out company website
7 Actively contribute to digital media strategies using available cross-media marketing platforms (Reputation, Emma, etc.).
8 Lead in the development of innovative, risk-taking social campaigns and posts—consider every aesthetic detail of content involved, from images to links to copy.
9 Adhere to internal department processes, brand guidelines, web standards, and industry best practices for all available channels and mediums.
10 Manage promotional material requests, asset and material oversight, collateral replenishment, and other materials as needed.
11 Work closely with Marketing and Events Specialist to create eye catching collateral for all Marketing and Foundation events
12 Can perform all other job duties as assigned
