Location: La Union, NM
Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time, Seasonal/Year-Round
Pay Rate: DOE Starting @ $12/hr
Job Description:
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Plant Nursery Day Laborer to join our team. This role requires individuals who can work outdoors in all weather conditions, handle physically demanding tasks, and provide excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities:
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.
- Practice safety at all times to prevent workplace injuries.
- Assist with planting, weeding, watering, and general plant care.
- Load and unload materials, supplies, and plants for customers and deliveries.
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service.
- Operate loaders and other nursery equipment (experience a plus).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to complete daily tasks efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong attention to safety procedures and guidelines.
- Previous experience in a nursery, landscaping, or agricultural setting is a plus.
- Loader or farm equiptment experience is a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment.
