The Sierra Vista Hospital location, a 171-bed psychiatric care facility located in south Sacramento, is a full-service mental health facility and a center of support for patients and their families. Since 1986, we have offered our clinical expertise to those suffering from emotional, behavioral and addiction problems.

The Director of Intervention Services Unit is responsible for managing and directing a 9-chair behavioral health crisis unit with 24/7 coverage including:
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Experience
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in psychiatric/mental health field, with a minimum of three (3) years in a lead/managerial capacity.
Licensure
Register Nurse (RN)

Responsibilities
The Director of Intervention Services Unit is responsible for managing and directing a 9-chair behavioral health crisis unit with 24/7 coverage including:
- Developing and maintaining staffing schedules
- Coordinating admissions and discharges
- Developing and implementing daily treatment regimen in collaboration with the multidisciplinary treatment team
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Experience
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in psychiatric/mental health field, with a minimum of three (3) years in a lead/managerial capacity.
Licensure
Register Nurse (RN)
Additional Requirements
- A strong knowledge of The Joint Commission, Title XXII, CMS, OSHA regulations, and patient rights standards and all other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care partial programs. Knowledge of NAPHS is a plus.
- CPR certification and successful completion of the hospital’s designated behavioral and physical management training program including de-escalation and appropriate use of seclusion and restraint required prior to assisting in the procedures.
