We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. You will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a sterile environment in compliance with health regulations.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
- Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow efficiently as a dental receptionist when required.
- Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Support pediatric patients with a caring approach, making their visits comfortable and positive.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental assisting practices and knowledge of dental terminology.
- Experience with electronic health record systems such as Epic is preferred.
- Strong understanding of infection control procedures in a dental setting.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients of all ages, particularly in pediatrics.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
