Job Function:
Conduct the parts operation within the dealership location to allow maximum return on investment through parts sales, inventory control and expense control. Provide maximum overthecounter fill to customers consistent with industry guidelines. Promote customer goodwill. Strive to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Primary Duties:
Responsible for maintaining the showroom area and insuring seasonal parts and merchandise is properly displayed and promoted.
Promote and merchandise parts and accessory lines
Responsible for the cleanliness within the parts department area.
Responsible for maintaining safe conditions in the parts storage and display areas.
Coordinate with Corporate Aftersales Manager to develop, support and implement promotion and advertising programs for parts.
Ensure the parts department is open and properly staffed to meet and exceed customer expectations, including seasonal extended hours.
Handle customer complaints relative to the parts department.
Assign definite duties to specific parts personnel.
Implement policies and assign duties to aid in the efficiency of the service department, including but not limited to unpacking daily orders and distributing as a daily priority.
Communicate with parts personnel, regarding all of the functions of the parts department and see that they are kept current on bulletins, recalls, policy or procedural changes, etc.
Edit and send CaseIH daily stock orders and ensure someone else is trained to send in your absence.
Ensure orders for all suppliers are placed in a timely fashion.
Use Availability MAX, combined with the Dealer Business System, and coordinate with the Corporate Aftersales Manager to maximize fill, minimize inventory, maximize stock order efficiency, and minimize priority orders.
Ensure that inventory surplus is minimized by fully utilizing the return programs permitted by the suppliers.
Ensure that incoming orders are checked in, in a timely manner by assigning parts personnel to assist Shipping & Receiving when necessary. Same applies to outgoing returns.
Assist with parts counter sales as a secondary responsibility to parts manager duties.
Implement and enforce procedures and policies necessary to maintain accurate and effective parts inventory controls.
Coordinate with management to conduct physical inventory with the goal of implementing a perpetual inventory.
Use the Dealer Business System to track and produce reporting to maintain inventory controls such as parts on hand with no bin location, open documents, negative onhand, etc.
Manage assets of the parts department by ensuring that policies and procedures set forth by management are followed, including but not limited to, credit policy, open documents, prepay, etc.
Attend training/schools/seminars (both in person and web based) as directed by management to ensure compliance with supplier/manufacturer requirements.
Perform other duties and functions as so directed by management in line with the objectives of the dealership.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
