Siewert’s Towing is hiring for the position of full-time dispatcher. This position serves as the primary contact for customers through telephone, computer and in-person interactions. The employee would receive incoming service requests and other calls; determine correct routing of calls; determine appropriate service needs and dispatch operators accordingly; assist in the processing and documentation for unclaimed vehicles.
Essential Functions:
- Answer incoming calls in a timely and professional manner
- Differentiate and prioritize between service requests
- Coordinate and dispatch multiple drivers efficiently
- Accurately enter all information pertinent to service requests
- Perform cashier, administrative and clerical duties
- Process paperwork within compliance and requirement guidelines set by State laws and regulations
Position Requirements:
- Ability to communicate clearly and distinctly, both verbally and written.
- Ability to pass a background check
- High School Diploma or GED
- Applicants holding communications background or previous work as a dispatcher would be helpful
- Availability to work shifts in accordance with maintaining a fully operational 24-hour facility
- Proficient computer skills: includes Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook
- Basic typing ability: 30 wpm minimum
- Have an understanding of time, space and geographic area pertaining to fulfilling service requests
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
