Description
SIFCO Industries is a premier forged solutions provider to the commercial aerospace and defense markets. This position is responsible for the effectiveness and security of the company’s IT Infrastructure, User Support, ERP System Management, Vendor Management and IT Compliance, supporting two manufacturing facilities and the corporate office. Serves as the company's Data Protection Officer and top cyber security expert.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the effectiveness and security of the company’s IT Infrastructure:
- Establishes and maintains the IT infrastructure strategy required to support business needs and company growth plans.
- Oversees Network Administration at all sites to ensure availability, capacity and proper security permissions.
- Serves as the company’s Data Protection Officer, with responsibility for cybersecurity and disaster recovery policies and programs. Responsible for firewall administration to prevent unauthorized access and security breaches. Responsible for back-up of file storage servers (e.g., Veeam backup).
- Responsible for the hybrid cloud infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, Azure and AWS.
- Develops and maintains IT policies that support strategy implementation and ensure a secure IT environment.
Responsible for User Support:
- Oversees IT Support at all sites, ensuring end users have the training, tools and support they need to effectively use technology in their job functions and that issues are promptly resolved.
- Administers the training program for cybersecurity awareness.
Responsible for ERP System Management:
- Maintains the required infrastructure for effective ERP utilization.
- Establishes and maintains file transfers to and from the ERP.
- Manages user access and segregation of duties; ensures proper change management procedures are followed.
Responsible for IT Compliance
- Responsible for compliance with IT regulations involving privacy, security and other controls (e.g., NIST/DFARS, GDPR, CMMC, SOX).
- Maintains and documents IT internal controls such as change management and user access.
Responsible for IT Vendor Management
- Monitors vendor performance to ensure Service Level Agreements and cost parameters are met.
- Interfaces with vendors on technical issues.
- Negotiates contract renewals.
Supervises IT Staff
- Supervises two site IT Leads and works with site General Managers to prioritize their activities.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Education bachelor’s degree with a major in Information Technology or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of work experience in IT, encompassing hardware, software, networks, servers, telecommunications, cyber security, compliance and IT policies. Work experience must include working in a management capacity over multiple IT infrastructure areas and must include all aspects of cyber security, ERP, and working in a hybrid cloud environment.
- Public company experience and experience in heavily regulated industries strongly preferred.
- Ability to interpret industry regulations and customer requirements and determine required IT actions.
- Project management experience: ability to define project goals, identify required tasks, and oversee cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.
- Ability to think strategically and evaluate options in the short, medium and long term.
- Ability to cope in a technically complex and fast-changing environment, and to respond calmly and rationally to changing priorities in a deadline-driven situation.
- Strong planning and organizing skills including the ability to manage several work streams simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills with a capacity to present, discuss and explain issues coherently and logically both in writing and verbally, to all audiences.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Limited travel (less than 10%).
