SUMMARY
SIFCO Industries, Inc., a premier publicly held supplier to the aerospace industry located in Cleveland, OH, seeks qualified Trim Setters. Trim Setters will be part of a team that sets up dies in mechanical and hydraulic presses and other forging machines, making adjustments to allow normal operation of equipment, during the forging process. Additional duties include removing used dies from forging machines by unbolting from bed, selecting proper dies and mounts them in machines by hand or hoist, adjusting stroke lengths and operating machines to forge trial pieces, inspecting trial pieces, making adjustments, as needed, and turning the machines over to the equipment operators.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sets up forging machines with proper dies and makes adjustments during the forging process.
- Removes dies and prepares machines for new dies, forges trail pieces, inspects them and makes adjustments accordingly.
- Responsible for knowledge of mechanical systems and hydraulic operation of hammers.
- Utilize knowledge and experience gained in trimmer dies and measurements.
- All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Previous manufacturing preferred, previous forging experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic math required.
- Mechanical aptitude desired.
- Basic computer skills desired.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
