JOB SUMMARY
To pick and process orders for shipment and/or process and put away received inventory utilizing a RF Scanner and operating either an Orders Selector, Reach Truck, Fork Truck or Turret Truck.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Picking Function:
- Utilize an RF Scanning device to scan item location and item number bar codes to confirm items picked for customer orders.
- Apply customer compliant labels to cartons in preparation for shipment.
- Palletize cartons and shrink wrap pallets in preparation for shipment.
- Read, understand and follow instructions on a pick ticket, packing slip and receiving check in sheet.
- Operate an Order Selector, Reach Truck, Fork Truck or Turret Truck (depending on duties assigned)
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of an assigned set of pallet locations. This includes: sweeping, straightening and organizing cartons, removing empty pallets, shrink wrap and cardboard, closing open cartons and ensuring all items are properly labeled.
- Follow the outbound shipping loading and order checking procedures.
Receiving Function:
- Utilize an RF Scanning device to scan put-away location and item number bar codes to confirm items that have been received.
- Unload Shipping Containers. Items can already be palletized or may require hand unloading of cartons that are then stacked on pallets. The use of a shrink wrap machine is required once pallets are processed for receipt.
- Operate an Order Selector, Reach Truck, Fork Truck or Turret Truck (depending on duties assigned)
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of an assigned set of pallet locations. This includes sweeping, straightening and organizing cartons, removing empty pallets, shrink wrap and cardboard, closing open cartons and ensuring all items are properly labeled.
- Follow all inbound and put-away procedures.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
- Other duties assigned by Supervisor including but not limited to labeling, repacking, and general cleaning duties.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Average lines picked or put away per day.
- Error rate
- Aisle audit scores on housekeeping and organization
- Attendance and punctuality

- Safety and accident rate
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
- This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Regular attendance is expected and required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 3 years of experience working within a warehouse management system strongly preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of previous experience operating an Order Selector, Reach Truck, or Turret Truck

- Must be able to operate an RF Scanner.
- Strong work ethic.

- Tow motor certification

- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.
- Must be able read an RF Scanner and pallet scale.
