About the role

We're looking for an experienced, energetic, imaginative Client Executive Chef who shares our vision for the reinvented lunch and readily embraces diverse nutritional needs. Our Executive Chef has a passion for creating unforgettable food experiences, takes a detail-oriented approach to elevating dishes, and wants to learn valuable business skills to further their career.

We provide daily lunch for some of the hottest startups. We need a chef who works well in a fast-paced environment, and can create and grow a dynamic food program at one of our largest clients in Seattle.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in developing and launching food programs for corporate offices, as well as managing multiple lines of service under the direction of a Regional Chef, including cafeteria-style rotating menus and catered events.

What you"ll be doing

  • Help to develop a cafeteria-style food program in a newly built kitchen across multiple stations
  • Design, prepare and coordinate unique weekly menus for all dietary needs and major 9 allergen restrictions
  • Design, prepare and execute special event catering
  • Participate in critical discussions regarding eater satisfaction and business growth
  • Act as liaison between business team and culinary team regarding client details and feedback
  • Hire, manage, coach, and train kitchen staff
  • Spearhead execution of new product lines and culinary practices
  • Own supply ordering and inventory; oversee COGS
  • Monitor and manage portion control and food costs
  • Execute strict quality control and assurance
  • Ensure kitchen operations meet company and facility standards
  • Comply with and enforce sanitary regulations and safety standards
  • Our ideal candidate

  • Has a minimum of 3-5 years of Chef leadership experience for both small and large audiences (500 )
  • Is experienced with batch cooking, catering and event servicing
  • Is a natural leader in practice and attitude
  • Has excellent communication skills
  • Thinks quickly and critically under pressure
  • Is willing to learn and adopt business needs and practices
  • Enjoys exercising creativity in menu development
  • Understands diverse cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment
  • Is comfortable managing and communicating using technology
  • Is experienced with Google apps (Gmail, Google Drive), Microsoft Office
