Accounts Receivable Specialist
Summary Of Role
- $24.03/hr-$28.85/hr
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end collections process to ensure timely and accurate payment from customers. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external customers to resolve payment issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up on past-due balances to ensure prompt payment.
- Apply cash receipts and reconcile customer accounts.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to customer payments, including chargebacks and short payments.
- Maintain accurate records of collections efforts and customer communications.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams, including Sales and Customer Service, to address billing inquiries and resolve underlying process issues.
- Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.
- Support process improvements to enhance efficiency in invoicing and collections.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
- 2 years experience in accounts receivable or collections.
- Strong understanding of A/R processes, invoicing, and collections best practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
