Sales Operations Manager - Hood River, OR (or Portland, OR)

Position Overview

We are seeking a collaborative and team-oriented Sales Operations Manager to lead and optimize our inside sales processes, customer service operations, new business prospecting, and contract management. This critical role is designed for a driven professional with a passion for people leadership, operational excellence, and customer experience.

As a Sales Operations Manager, you will lead the inside sales team and collaborate closely with outside sales, marketing, technical support, and engineering to streamline operations, enable revenue growth, and ensure an exceptional customer experience. This is an exciting opportunity to join a cutting-edge technology company focused on delivering innovative solutions for the rapidly evolving Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS) and Counter-UAS (cUAS) markets.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

Inside Sales Process Development and Management

  • Establish and oversee best practices for handling customer inquiries, issue resolution, and order fulfillment.
  • Design, implement, and optimize inside sales workflows to enhance funnel management, pipeline tracking, and conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop strategies for lead-generation campaigns and customer outreach.
  • Serve as the NetSuite ERP subject matter expert, managing sales-related workflows, data accuracy, and integrations.

Contracts and Proposal Management

  • Oversee the preparation, review, and execution of contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and business requirements.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to support the development of competitive proposals and RFP responses.
  • Maintain organized records of all sales agreements and ensure timely renewals and updates.
  • Talent Development

  • Coach and mentor inside sales team members to drive performance, enhance skills, and foster career growth.
  • Develop and implement onboarding processes for new hires to ensure a smooth transition and quick ramp-up.
  • Partner with HR to create career progression pathways that align with SightLine’s goals.
  • Education and Experience Qualifications

  • 7 years of experience in sales operations, inside sales, or a related role, preferably within technology or defense.
  • Proven experience managing ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and optimizing sales workflows.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in CRM platforms, ERP systems, and sales analytics tools.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities with a data-driven mindset.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams and with clients.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Beneficial Experience (preferred, not required)

  • Familiarity with advanced video processing technologies, UAV systems, and / or cUAS solutions is highly desirable.
  • Passion for emerging technologies and the UAV / cUAS industry.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Location and Travel

  • Position can work out of either Portland, OR or Hood River, OR office.
  • Frequent travel is required between Portland and Hood River offices.

    Benefits

    Estimated salary range for this position is $135-160,000 annually plus bonus.

    Total compensation includes salary, 11 paid holidays, PTO (20 days earned over the first year), health insurance (100% SightLine covered for HDHP with HSA), dental, vision, life / disability, 401K match, incentive plan, SightLine OR PFMLI coverage, schedule flexibility, parental leave, and education reimbursement.

    SightLine Applications has two offices : Hood River and Portland, OR. The Hood River office includes sales, software engineering, and support teams. Our Portland office includes manufacturing, software, hardware engineering, and QA teams. The two offices are in constant communication and get together regularly to discuss ongoing projects and new opportunities. We work in an open office setting, actively communicating about projects and customers throughout the day. SightLine is a member of the Gorge Technology Alliance and regularly sponsors Capstone teams at Portland State University.
