Sightline Ophthalmic Associates is a successful private practice that consists of 3 Ophthalmologists and 5 Optometrists with an extensive referral base with locations in Wexford, Chippewa, Pleasant Hills, Kittanning and New Castle. Sightline has a rewarding full-time opportunity available for an Ophthalmic Technician to join our team.
General Summary:
Under direct supervision the technician is responsible to obtain patient’s chief complaint, present illness and medical history. Perform various ophthalmic diagnostic tests as required by the physician and manage patient data using the electronic medical record system. Maintains and cleans all equipment being used. Communicates with patients regarding follow-up care and medications. The technician will also work in our OR for office based cataract procedures.

Qualifications:
- Ophthalmic experience preferred
- Surgical experience is a plus
- Must work independently and as part of a team
- Must be detail oriented
- Customer service experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to perform diagnostic testing
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records
