Job Summary: Basic Scope/Purpose: Set-up/Operate CNC Swiss Lathe machines
What you will be doing:
- Setup and operate CNC Swiss Lathe machines. Operations consist of Putting tools in machine, setting tool positions, adjusting tool offsets, replacing inserts and tools, prepping bars and bar ends and putting bars into the loader.
- Read and interpret blueprints; dimensional size and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Complete all paperwork required for the manufacturing process.
- Perform inspection of product to drawings and standards.
- Properly use and care for various types of inspection gages, fixtures and equipment used in the manufacturing process.
- Complete secondary operations such as part cleaning, deburring, etc.
- Move finished product to designated area.
- Manage time effectively to maximize production.
- Follow safe work practices and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
What you bring to the team:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with team.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two (2) years machining and/or CNC machining experience
- Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
