Basic Scope/Purpose: Maintains warehouse area, by organizing and tracking material in all production phases. Moves and stores materials/products using a combination of manual labor and low complexity machinery/equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand truck, etc.). Supply departments with required materials. Prepares and maintains related summaries and document files. Participates in annual warehouse inventory audit.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks with the use of low complexity motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
- Log the movement of incoming and outgoing materials and products using the computer inventory system.
- Assist in optimization of storage of purchased product and stock.
- Coordinates incoming material approval process with the Quality Team.
- Performs issues and returns on all production material used in the pressroom.
- Performs Weight Verification and dumps scrap material.
- Weigh and prepare scrap shipments for vendors.
- Label and store finished products in stores warehouse as orders are produced.
- Pull and prepare shipments for customers and vendors ensuring accuracy of product and paperwork.
- Operate low complexity motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment to support in essential duties.
- Follow safe work practices and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Education and Experience Requirements/Preferences:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Skills & Physical Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with team.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
- Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines and inspect parts produced.
