What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1471 - RMF Technician position at Sigma Defense?
Sigma Defense is looking for a RMF Technician who has experience in managing IT and network systems, the RMF Information Assurance process, RMF Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages, FISMA compliance, and vulnerability scanning procedures.
The ideal candidate works well with peers and individually, has military experience with assets and systems in a controlled and/or classified environment, with a solid understanding of MS Windows and UNIX/Linux systems management, and is capable of working in heterogenous OS and dynamic networking environments.

- Strong understanding of multi OS IPv4 network configuration implementation, and a familiarity with IPv6.
- Ability to effectively use MS Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, and other tools to facilitate documentation.
- Capacity to clearly communicate, verbally and in written form, current RMF process status and updates.
Personnel Clearance Level:
- Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance.
- A clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.
Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):
- Locate, inventory, scan, review, and document equipment to facilitate RMF compliance.
- Perform system scans, review system operational configurations, document, and interface the results with system developers and organizational RMF entities.
- Apply technical knowledge of computer hardware, OS, and software principles to determine and correct equipment malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot, identify, and restore equipment from a non-working state to a working state.
- Apply technical guidance from supervisor or higher-level technician to solve issues.
- Receiving work assignments from supervisors or higher-level technicians and accomplish assigned tasks.
- Some lifting, shifting, and moving to include one and/or two person heavy object lifts.
- Working outside in extreme weather environments.
- Safely climbing on and around vehicles deployed inside and outside of military training environments.
Pay Range: $70,000 - $80,000 annually.
