WHAT WE NEED:
Planner/Scheduler
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Planner/Scheduler for an 8-month assignment at one of our client sites in Port Neal, Iowa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the planning and scheduling functions for various projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation, project execution, and timeline management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules for ongoing operations and projects.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely execution and adherence to deadlines.
- Maintain and update schedules to reflect changes in project scope, deadlines, and resource availability.
- Monitor project progress and track milestones, adjusting plans as needed to ensure successful delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, engineering, operations, and safety, to ensure that projects are executed as planned.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for project efficiency and performance.
- Identify potential risks and delays in project timelines and work to resolve them proactively.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, reports, and logs, for management review.
- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders, highlighting any deviations from the schedule and proposed corrective actions.
- Assist in resource planning, including labor, materials, and equipment, ensuring optimal utilization and availability.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all scheduling activities.
WHO WE NEED:
- Bachelor's degree in project management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience as a Planner/Scheduler, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or industrial projects.
- Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar tools).
- Strong understanding of project management principles, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory standards is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
