WHAT WE NEED:

Technical Advisor - Electrical and Instrumentation

The Technical Advisor - Electrical and Instrumentation is responsible for the successful planning, execution, quality control, documentation, and completion of field installation and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation projects. This role involves overseeing a team of instrument technicians, coordinating with other project stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and project timelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of instrument technicians, ensuring efficient and effective execution of tasks.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to team members.
  • Manage team performance, address issues, and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate with project engineers, site managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with project requirements.
  • Implement quality control measures to prevent defects and ensure project success.
  • Possess a strong understanding of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Stay up to date with industry advancements and emerging technologies.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to the team.
  • Prioritize safety and ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations.
  • Conduct safety training and enforce safety protocols.
  • Investigate and report safety incidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Prepare and submit regular project reports, including progress updates, issues, and recommendations.
  • Track project costs and expenditures, ensuring adherence to budget constraints.

WHO WE NEED:

  • Certification in electrical, instrumentation, or control systems engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems, with experience on turbomachinery equipment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and leading field installation and commissioning projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems, including hardware, software, and communication protocols.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with various stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or related electrical technical program.
  • Experience with specific turbomachinery equipment types (e.g., gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors).
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., AutoCAD, PLC programming software).
  • Willingness to travel to project sites, often for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor settings.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
