What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Department Internship position at SIGMA GAMMA RHO SORORITY, INC?
We have an exciting hybrid opportunity for students to participate in an eight-week internship at the International Corporate Headquarters (ICHQ) of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.! This is a great opportunity for you to learn professional skills in business across various departments, build your resume, and get real-world experience in a professional setting.
As an intern, you will be responsible for assisting with Indexing Historical Records, as your main project. Other special projects and tasks across multiple areas in the organization may be assigned. These responsibilities will be customized to the intern’s interests as well as to the needs of the organization. Interns will meet with relevant leaders within the organization to receive an orientation and description of the day-to-day engagements and responsibilities to be executed. Qualified candidates must be able to work independently, have attention to detail, intermediate to advanced Excel experience, great interpersonal skills, and be a team player.
Internship Exposure
- Real-world knowledge and experience in the non-profit sector
- Working closely with leaders across the organization
- Attending department and/or team meetings
- Completing meaningful projects that impact the operational efficiency at International Corporate Headquarters

Dates & Logistics
- June 9th – August 1 with one week off (June 30th - July 4th)
- Hours are Monday – Thursday, 9 am – 3 pm (unless otherwise agreed upon with supervisor)
- 30-minute lunch break daily
